Constitution

Our constitution sets out the purpose and rules of Schofields Flying Club.

Our code of conduct sets out a standard and expectation of behaviour for all Schofields Flying Club Members.

BOARD

Meet our board.

Schofields Flying Club Limited is a public company limited by guarantee. Our board are made up of experienced aviators and business professionals who are committed to the needs of our members.

The club is managed by the CEO who is directed by the club board. The club board is elected from the membership and serve 3 year terms. Full Members, Alumni Members and Life Members of SFC have the right to vote on club matters at the club’s Annual General Meeting, typically held in May.

The leadership, expertise and commitment of our board ensures SFC can achieve its mission and have a successful impact on the aviation industry as a whole.

Steven Kastanias
President

Steven is a professional services firm partner and a member of SFC’s board since 2014. Steven has helped define SFC’s strategy and transition into a leading flight training organisation.  He was appointed President in 2024 and will focus on representing and advocating for SFC‘s interests.

Frank Peronace
Treasurer

Frank’s career started back in 1979, progressing to licensed aircraft engineer at Bankstown Airport. His storied career has led him to directing and managing his family group of companies to this day. A private pilot for over a decade, and an SFC board member since 2012, he has played a key role in transforming the club into the largest flying club on the eastern seaboard. As a part owner of a Cirrus SR22, he continues his love of flying.

Cam Jobbins
Director

A commercial pilot since 1983, Cam brings 28 years of Vocational Education and Training to SFC, further cementing the college’s place as Sydney’s premium flying school. Cam has gained professional experience in variety of fields, from five-star hotels around the world, national business, and has led other training professionals as a former head teacher. Combined with his passion of flight, he plays a key role as a board member, and anchors the college for its future growth.

Scott Pringle
Director

A familiar face of Bankstown Airport, Scott brings a wealth of aircraft maintenance experience to SFC. Scott has been operating a long-held family business, NP Aviation, at Bankstown Aerodrome for over 40 years, and actively aids in the maintenance of the SFC fleet. With this generational experience and knowledge, he provides professional advice to SFC’s board and management team.

Stephen Ho
Director

Having gained his PPL at SFC when we were still at Schofields, Stephen brings a rich and varied background to our board. With a broad skillset in aviation, including multi-engine and instrument rating, aerobatic, gas turbine and pressurisation, Stephen complements the team with an equally broad background in accounting, business, and hospitality. A previous SFC board member in the early 90’s, his heart is firmly placed in our club, adding to SFC’s passion for flying in the 21st century.

Why do I need to become a member?

SFC is an Aero club, operating since 1969. At our core we are an Aero club supporting like minded aviators full time or Part time. Offering Club Events, Fly aways, Flight training and private hire. ALL students are required to maintain membership during their flight training.
