Role Title: Course Adviser

Employment Type: Full Time – Monday to Saturday rotating roster

Location: Bankstown Aerodrome, with multi-site responsibility

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Course Adviser, you'll be one of the first points of contact for people considering a career in aviation. You'll build relationships with prospective students, understand their goals and aspirations, and guide them through the flight training options available at SFC. You'll combine consultative sales, exceptional customer service and aviation knowledge to help prospective students understand what their training journey could look like. From an initial phone conversation through to a face-to-face consultation at our Bankstown Aerodrome Clubhouse, you'll help turn an interest in aviation into a clear pathway forward.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Course Advisers are not simply selling a product. You'll be helping people make a significant decision about their future.
You'll be supported with training, guidance and the knowledge required to confidently represent SFC and our flight training programs.

• Conduct outbound calls and follow up with prospective students
• Build strong rapport and establish relationships with prospective students
• Understand individual goals, motivations and training aspirations
• Provide accurate information about SFC, our courses and available training pathways
• Guide prospective students through their options and next steps
• Conduct face-to-face consultations with prospective students
• Showcase SFC's Clubhouse, aircraft and training facilities
• Explain course structures, training options and potential aviation career pathways
• Manage prospective student enquiries through the sales process
• Work towards individual and team KPIs

ABOUT YOU

You'll be positive, motivated and energised by working with people. You'll also bring:

• Previous sales experience, ideally within a KPI-driven environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Strong customer service skills and a genuine concern for the needs of prospective students
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to understand different customer needs
• A strong work ethic and a demonstrated sense of achievement
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team environment
• A positive "can do" attitude and willingness to learn
• Exceptional attention to detail
• A passion for aviation or an interest in the aviation industry (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common business systems

What began as a flying club has grown into a leading flight training organisation, with Sydney Flight College and SFC Pilot Academy Tamworth now training the next generation of aviation professionals.
With more than 100 new pilots commencing their aviation journey with us each year, our Course Advisers play an important role in helping prospective students understand their options, navigate their training journey and make informed decisions about their future.
