Position Summary

This is an opportunity for a skilled Events Coordinator to assist in planning of events, managing the staff roster and presenting at our events to highlight the pathways into aviation. This role will also require some travel to regional areas in NSW & QLD.

 

As an Events Coordinator you will support the company’s Connections Program by planning and hosting the Aviation Experience Days, Co-ordinate the team to facilitate the event objectives, plan and host some of the regional roadshows. You will also be assisting the Head of Sales and Marketing in planning and executing annual SFC company events, such as open days, gala’s etc.

All training will be provided but will require someone with a passion for aviation and a genuine care for supporting school aged students with their career choices.

This is a full-time, permanent office-based position at Bankstown Aerodrome. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Be responsible for coordinating regional tours, educational visits, information sessions, open days and gala events.
  2. Travelling to regional areas to visit and present to school students.
  3. Host college events and confidently present to groups of students.
  4. Source and secure appropriate venues for events, negotiate contracts, and coordinate setup, catering, and technical requirements.
  5. Manage attendee registration processes, communicate event details, and provide support before, during, and after events.
  6. Excellent communication throughout the event process from conception to completion.
  7. Excellent presenting skills, being able to connect with people and be dynamic throughout the presentation delivery.
  8. Developing key relationships with students, your team, and external stakeholders.
  9. Manage and coordinate the expo roster for the year.
  10. Able to work independently.
  11. Necessary administration with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

 

Requirements and Skills

  • Previous experience in event planning a must.
  • Previous experience in public speaking is must.
  • Efficient and organised.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate challenges, make quick decisions under pressure, and implement effective solutions to ensure smooth event operations.
  • A high level of administrative and logistical skills as well as event coordination experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain a high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will have exceptional customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A passion or experience in aviation is preferable.

Admissions Coordinator

The Admissions Coordinator plays a vital role in the student admissions process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for prospective students. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the admissions process, from application to enrolment.
As part of this role, you will also be responsible for inbound and outbound lead calls, conducting face to face meet and greets and assisting the Head of Sales and Marketing in confirming all enrolments have been completed accurately.

This is a Full time, Permanent office based position at Bankstown Aerodrome.

About the role & key responsibilities:
1. Manage and respond to inquiries from prospective students and families.
2. Coordinate and facilitate application processes, including reviewing and processing applications and assessments.
3. Communicate with candidates throughout the application process in a timely manner (24-48 hours).
4. Collaborate with internal departments and staff to facilitate the review of applications.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
6. Analyse data and provide insights to inform admissions trends and strategies.
7. Provide exceptional customer service and support to prospective students and families to achieve company outcomes.
8. Developing key relationships with students, your team, and others within SFC.
9. Working with prospective students and discussing course information as well as future study paths.
10. Ensuring follow up calls are conducted in a timely manner (24-48 hours).
11. Booking and conducting face to face meet and greets with potential students - showcasing SFC, its clubhouse, the aircraft and providing information on SFC’s courses.
12. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
13. Meeting KPIs.

Position Overview

The largest not for-profit Aero Club on the Eastern Seaboard, with 55 years of experience in training pilots. Starting out as a flying club we have since grown to now train the next generation of pilots, with over 100 new pilots commencing their aviation journey every year.

SFC has recently expanded its flight training operation with a second airbase in Tamworth, NSW.
With the club still at the heart of the organisation, we are now leading the way in training, fleet and our new Pilot Training Academy.

Position Summary

You will be responsible for outbound calls and building rapport with prospective students, conducting face to face consultations to discuss their flight training needs and journey.
